Hot Right Now: Exciting New Hair Trends for Spring
If you’re anything like us here at Yazz No 1 Hair Studio (hey, hairdressers need hair cuts, too!) you’ll already be raring to get a brand new look. After all, the New Year signals the start of many a transformation for us all. And whether you’re looking to trim done, tone up or simply snip a few inches off your hair, it’s all about looking and feeling great.
Here at our Leeds hairdressers, we can certainly help with the latter. Everyone wants to feel fabulous – and there’s no easier way than by trying a new look.
Thankfully, there’s a whole host of brand new hair styles for spring we think you’ll love. Whether you’re feeling brave, or you’re not so adventurous, there’s a new spring hair style out there for you. Let’s look at just a few of them.
The ‘Wob’ (Wavy Bob)
One of the hottest looks for spring, the ‘wob’ (also known as the wavy bob) has been seen on everyone from Beyonce to actress Jennifer Lawrence, and even Taylor Swift. It’s a flirty and feminine look (perfect in time for Valentine’s day), and it seems to suit most face shapes.
Already have wavy hair? You’re onto a winner with this look, but if your hair’s poker straight you can still have a bob cut in and style it yourself with curling tongs each day.
The ‘Lob’ (Long Bob)
While the ‘lob’ has taken something of a backseat since the introduction of the wob, it’s certainly still sticking around – with the more carefree amongst our clients opting to try the sharper take on the wavy spring bob.
The great thing about the lob is it’s easy to maintain and even easier to grow out, should you fancy a change later down the line. Chat to us today at our Leeds hairdressers and we’ll let you know if we think the look will work for you.
Similar to the wob but suitable for longer hair styles as well, boho waves are a spring/summer trend staple. It’s an easy style to maintain, as it works just as well during spring and summer festivals as it does on the beach on your annual holiday. Simply spritz your do with salt spray to keep it looking its best.
The Long Ponytail
So this is less a new hair cut and more of an everyday style. But who knew the simple long ponytail would come back in? Well, it never really went out, did it? The great thing about this look is everyone knows how to do it!
It’s been seen on the spring/summer catwalks for 2015 and – whether straight, curled or crimped – it’s guaranteed to get you noticed. Try a sleek and straight pony tail for the office, or curl a long side ponytail for a night out.
