Gents: want to try something new this year? The good news is there isn’t a ‘one style fits all’ approach to hair this year; there are loads of new trends in cut and colour to choose from. And of course, here at Yazz Hair Leeds, our stylists can help you achieve them!
From the traditional ‘short, back and sides’ to something that little bit different, we have the know-how to transform your look. We’ll always advise you on the best cut and colour for you, too. True, you might want to keep current trends in mind, but what works or one person’s face shape might not work for another.
That said, let’s take have a look at some of the haircuts doing the rounds so far in 2017…
The Short Back and Sides – We’ve mentioned it already and it’s with good reason: the short back and sides is here to say. The majority of our clients love this no-nonsense look and it’s because it’s easy to maintain and it looks the part, too. With actors like Tom Hardy nailing the trend, we say it’s one of the hottest haircuts out there at the moment – and the simplest to keep on top of as well. Blokes who opt for this look will need minimal products and very little time in the morning to sort out their hair – result!
The ‘Curly Top’ – Got curly hair? No more do you need to feel like it’s a hindrance (curls can be hard to work with but we’ve got you covered here at Yazz), as a short back and curly front look continues to dominate the style charts. We can give you volume at the top and keep the back relatively short and sharp; chat to us about the styles and cuts we offer. Want some inspiration when it comes to styling your curly mane? Check out the Men’s Hairstyle Trends site.
The Side Parting – This is, of course, more about the way you style your finished hair cut than how we cut it in the first place – but if you’ve got long hair, pay homage to 1950s actors and sweep it to one side, running some gel through it to keep it in place.
The Quiff – Another favourite for men who are blessed with plenty of volume, the quiff is going nowhere! It’s all about getting some volume in the front of your hair and using the right products to style it to absolute perfection. Want a new look? Chat to the Yazz Hair Leeds team to see what we can do for you.
In terms of hair dye shades, dark brown and jet black is still very popular for those who need a helping hand touching up greys. That said, the silver fox look is very popular now – so if you’re time-poor and haven’t got a free afternoon every four to five weeks to top up your colour, why not leave nature to do its thing?
