Why use Yazz Hair Academy?

Yazz Hair began life as a small salon 19 years ago, since then we have expanded to three salons across Leeds and we’re proud to say that some of the original staff members are still with us today.

We strongly believe education is key to building a successful business that is always moving forwards and on top of the latest trends, technology and techniques. So much so that we employ a full-time, in-house educator who supports our trainees and ensures that all staff are up-to-date.

Our award winning team regularly attends seminars and often visits the TIGI academies in London and Manchester. We also host TIGI seminars at our salon in Leeds three times a year.

What we do before working with you

It is essential that our students receive the best training in order for them to become great hairdressing professionals. We are committed to providing quality training and we expect the same standard from the salons we work with too.

The first step is for a Yazz Hair Academy representative to visit your salon and discuss with you in depth what Apprenticeships involve and your role and responsibility in the process. We will assess the health and safety of your salon through a risk assessment and make suggestions for changes needed where necessary.

In return we expect the salons we work with to be committed to providing the best possible training, including a thorough induction into the workplace, allowing time to attend the academy once a week, providing training opportunities in the salon where students can put their new skills into practice and allocating time for reviews and mentoring sessions too. We will of course be on hand to support and advise you should you need us.

We enjoy a great relationship with all of the salons we work with, but we are always on the look out for more.
