They will now go on to the second round judging, which will see their collection of eight images judged by industry peers and beauty press. The winners will be announced at a glittering event at the Grosvenor House hotel on Mayfair’s Park Lane on 27 November 2017. WOW! Yazz Number One Leeds have done it again! The English Hair and Beauty Awards organisation have nominated Yazz Number One as a Finalist in the 6th Official Hair and Beauty Awards 2017 competition.
Ashley Wallis, Stylist at Yazz Number One Hair Studio,Rawdon,Leeds on stage at Café de Paris, London for the TIGI Inspirational Youth Awards 2016…………. After been selected as one of the TIGI Inspirational Youth Team members for 2016 and successfully completing Bootcamp. Ashley was back in London on Monday for the finale of TIGI Inspirational Youth UK. Ashley and the other TIGI Inspirational Youth team members were amazing. The show was at at London’s Café de Paris in front of press, VIP… guests and the Team’s very own salon supporters who came down from here at Yazz Rawdon, Leeds. This truly was an amazing celebration of the amazing work of Ashley Wallis and the 12 other young hairdressers in TIGI Inspirational Youth 2016. Well done all of you and enjoy!

YAZZ NUMBER ONE HAIR STUDIO LEEDS REACH SEMI-FINALS OF L’OREAL COLOUR TROPHY & L’ORÉAL MEN’S IMAGE AWARD Stylists from Yazz Number One Hair Studio in Rawdon, Guiseley & Yeadon has made it through the first round and into the semi-finals of L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards 2016 & L’Oreal Men’s Image Award 2016. This means that they will now go head to head with salons in the area at the North Eastern Backstage Live Final to be held on Sunday 10th April 2016 at The Royal Armouries, Leeds competing in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy and L’Oréal Men’s Image Award Category. In the first round, hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the most influential names in hairdressing including the 2012 title holders Sally & Jamie Brooks, leading session stylist & press favourite Adam Reed and hairdressing icon Charles Worthington MBE. Leeds Salon, Yazz Number One Hair Studio fought of stiff competition and were successfully chosen to go through to the next stage of the competition – the Backstage Live Regional Finals. A TALENTED team of stylists at Leeds-based Yazz Number 1 Hair studio is celebrating after winning a place at the finals of the prestigious L’Oréal Men’s Image Award, as part of the Colour Trophy 2015. But that’s not all; staff have also made it to the regional finals of the annual L’Oréal Colour Trophy, in a bid to get to the finals later this year. Abigail Lawrence of the Rawdon salon, and Charlotte Newsham from the Guiseley premises are thrilled to be instrumental in the team’s success. Also helping to get the salon to the finals (due to take place in London ) of the men’s image award are stylists Steven Lee from Yazz’s Guiseley salon, alongside Jess Lyon from the Yeadon branch. The L’oreal colour trophy remains one of the competitions in the hair industry to win. This year was special for Yazz Number One Hair Studio in Leeds. Young Stylist Jess Lyon from our Yeadon Salon, Leeds, made it through as a Grand Finalist in the L’Oreal Young Colourist of the Year competition. This year finals were held at the prestigious Grosvenor Hotel in London. The night started off with a champagne reception where guests and competitors mingled. The evening consisted of three fantastic shows to feast your eyes on with Dylan Bradshaw from Dublin opening the show. A show by Skyler Macdonald for Sean Hanna and a colour inspired spectacular with Toni & Guy, Rush, Charles Worthington, Daniel Galvin, Trevor Sorbie and Richard Ward hair and Metro Spa. After the awards presentation the evening finished off with an after party in the ballroom. A very exciting and challenging competition for Jess who is having an amazing year! Well Done.

Only 455 regional finalists were chosen to take their hairdressing skills to the seven regional finals and we are proud to announce that three of our styles were chose in two categories – L’Oreal Professional Colour Trophy and Men’s Image Award History of the Awards In 1954, the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy held its first ever event at the Assembly Rooms in London, with just over 300 spectators and under 20 stylists. Even from the start, the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy was a sensation. Within 5 years, it was moved to the renowned Royal Albert Hall, and considered the largest competition of its kind in the world.
