Leeds based salon, Yazz Number One Hair Studio are holding a Charity Hair Cut Marathon to raise funds for local charity 'Pray for Murray.'
Murray is 18 years old and has recently completed his A levels at Guiseley School. He was diagnosed with stage 3 spinal cancer in September this year. He has asked that the profits be split between the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Neurology Ward at the LGI.
Six of our top stylists have agreed to give up their time to take part in this charity cut marathon.
Our doors will be open for walk in appointments at no charge. All that we ask is a donation be given in lieu of the cost.

Yazz Number One Hair Studio are also offering 10% discount on all retail sales during the evening. Salon Owner, Paul is donating 10% of total retail sales on the night to Pray for Murray.

truly international and spectacular fashion,
exciting new talent emerges out of the
Alternative Hair Show Vienna, Austria. Held at
the Austria Trend Eventhotel Pyramide on Sunday
3rd May 2009 to a tremendous audience of 2,000
people, the Alternative Hair Show Vienna,
Austria raised an amazing 80,000 Euros for
leukaemia research. The enduring Alternative
Hair Show has raised over £7 Million for its
designated charity, Leukaemia Research to fund
vital research into blood cancers, finding
better treatments and also giving support to
sufferers and their families. In this event, the
funds raised will support Leukaemia Research in
the UK and St Anna Kinderspital in Vienna,
Austria. Following in the London 2008
Alternative Hair Show theme, the 2009
Alternative Hair Show Vienna, Austria was
entitled ‘Emotions’. The participating hair
teams had been asked to use this concept as the
theme for their shows, and certainly showed
their creativity with their interpretations of
love, anger, jealousy and anarchy. The Artistic
teams presented stunning creative presentations
with both inspirational and imaginative
performances. The teams appearing at the
Alternative Hair Show Vienna, Austria were, (in

Austrian celebrity, Majoram Weichselbraun. The
fantastic singer Lana Gordon and her band opened
the evening with a special song composed by
Alternative Hair Show Vienna Organiser Erwin
Fehringer especially for Alternative Hair called
“A Child in Time”, including a chorus sung by a
children’s choir. CDs of the song were sold for
5 euros, with all proceeds donated to the two
charities. Francesco Malapena, the sensational
Italian opera singer who hails from Campania
area of Italy, (as do the families of Anthony
Mascolo and Tony Rizzo) followed with the
beautiful rendition of O Sole Mio, to the crowds
awe and amazement and brought the crowd to their
feet in the emotional finale while he sang the
beautiful “Nesun’ dorma” and was joined on stage
with the Artistic teams and the children to
close the evening. Following the show, attendees
and artistic teams danced the night away at the
after show party hosted by Schwarzkopf. It was
truly an evening to behold. |

Rockaholic Official Release Party at V2O The
Venue in Long Beach, California. Attendees
enjoyed a rockin’ runway show presented by
TIGI’s James Morrison and Paul Joseph.
Rockaholic models flaunted edgy hairstyles and
six teams of stylists partnered up to compete
for the “Rockaholic” look of the evening. Ryan
Lewis and Doreen Masour of Forme Salon in Santa
Monica, California were voted favorite
Rockaholic duo!
Aerosmith tribute band Draw The Line
energized the crowd as Rockaholic dancers moved
and grooved on stage. Guest partied like
Rockstars all night long to slammin’ tunes from
DJ Troublemaker! |

Glasgow,
Scotland. At 19, he moved to London
and began his 30 year partnership with
Anthony and Bruno Mascolo. When Bruno
dreamed of taking the company to
America,
James readily agreed to go with him. In 1984,
James packed his
bags and joined Bruno to
start-up TONI & GUY / TIGI USA.
Now
serving as Global Education Director, James
