Abigail Senior
Stylist
Hey! I’m Abi and I specialise in
TIGI colour. In January I will be furthering my
education by doing a colour degree at the TIGI
Academy in London. I absolutely LOVE doing
highlights and seeing the outcome of the colour
I have created. I recently attended The British
Hairdressing Awards in London and whilst there
me and Rosie were offered the opportunity to
assist the TIGI Creative Team at a Vivienne
Westwood show. I absolutely love photo shoots
and jumped at the chance! I met Janice Dickinson
and The Saturdays, which was ace!! I have been
on a number of retail and development courses
and next year I hope to be part of the TIGI
Inspiration Youth Team. I really hope to see you
soon. Love Abi x |

Charlotte Creative
Director
Since joining Yazz in June 2010
I have already experienced so many new things
and had lots of exciting opportunities presented
to me. I’ve travelled to London on several
occasions visiting the TIGI Academy to meet all
of the team there which was great fun and really
inspiring and also to attend Salon International
to support one of the team on stage. I’m
qualified up to and including my NVQ Level 3 and
have been hairdressing since 2004. I would love
to get more involved with Yazz’s creative team
doing photo-shoot work and competitions.
Ultimately I would like to become a trainer and
go into education within hairdressing. I feel
really excited about my future in hairdressing
and all that I can now do and achieve!

Jemma Style
Director
I became a qualified stylist in
2006 and since then I’ve built up a busy
clientele at Yazz. In 2007 I was successful in
gaining a place on the TIGI Inspirational Youth
programme at the academy in London. Through
Inspirational Youth I learnt advanced cutting
and colouring techniques, spent time working on
photo-shoots and also with catwalk models. It
was an amazing experience and I learnt an
enormous amount from this, as well as building
my confidence and exploring creative ideas. In
2008 I reached the finals of the Clothes Show
hair competition in Birmingham. The competition
is for young hairdressers and it was a really
good experience to compete on a national basis.
I also competed in the Matrix Destination of
Fame in 2008 and got through to the finals in
London. Through my work with Inspirational Youth
I had a 3 page-spread published in Creative Hair
magazine. I enjoy updating clients images and
suggesting new ways to style their hair.

Katy Beauty
Therapist
I joined Yazz in Rawdon in October 2010 and am really enjoying working here. The newly refurbished beauty room creates the perfect atmosphere and surroundings for all clients to enjoy their treatments and ‘me’ time!
I have been qualified since 1995 and have built on my original training as new treatments and trends emerge. Since joining Yazz I have trained in Minx nail system and also the Jessica Geleration system which has been great fun and I love seeing the fantastic results that both of these products deliver.
I offer a ‘No hands’ massage which is absolutely brilliant and both the stylists and my new clients are enjoying this new service. This treatment is more relaxing than conventional massage as I use the soft surface of my forearms to release all the tension and stress from the body!

Melissa Stylist
Since
joining Yazz in 2009 I have achieved lots and
I’m really excited about my future career in
hairdressing because of this. I attended the
Yazz Training Academy run by Karen which was
really good as it brought my hairdressing skills
up to speed and to the high standards expected
by this salon. I now run my own column each week
and I’m building a reliable clientele of my own.
On top of attending in-house training I have
also travelled to London to the TIGI Academy and
completed their Transitional Cutting Course
which was really good fun and re-enforced what I
had already learnt. I have attended TIGI product
courses both at the salon and in Leeds to help
me in understanding how to get the best out of
each and every style I create. As part of a
really good team at Yazz I have supported other
stylists when on stage at shows and competitions
and this is always great fun and a good
opportunity to see what else is being done in
the industry. |

Ashley 2nd Year Trainee @ Rawdon
Hi I'm Ashley; I have worked at Yazz Number One Hair Studio since August 2009 with the junior team on a Saturday. I have been lucky enough to started my NVQ level 2 in Hairdressing within the salon as soon as I left school and will fully qualify in February 2013. Once i qualify I will join the Yazz Creative team which I am really looking forward to and then aim to run my own column and build up my clientele. I got my inspiration for hairdressing by going to various competitions and courses with the salon including the L'Oreal Colour Trophy and from just watching the creativity of the stylists and the amazing things they could do. I especially enjoy practicing creating my own looks and adding my own personal touch to everything I do.

I started at Yazz Number One Hair Studio in November 2012 as a stylist based in in the salon within LA Fitness. After working in Leeds as a stylist for 5 years I decided I needed a change, but still wanted to work for a reputable brand, which is up to date with the latest trends which is why Yazz Number One Hair Studio is the perfect place for me.
I love to learn new techniques to keep current within the industry, which is an essential part of my job. This enables me to meet my client’s needs and make them happy. It’s a great feeling when you have given someone a confidence boost after delivering a fantastic service!
I look forward to building my career at Yazz and embracing future challenges.
