On the 24 October 2014, Yazz Number One Hair Studio in Rawdon, Guiseley and Yeadon organised PINK FRIDAY at their three salons to raise a total of £360.50 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Salon Managers in each salon hosted the event and each salon was responsible for organising their very own fund-raising which consisted of raffles, tombola, selling cakes and staff even went out into the local community with their buns and buckets raising money for this great charity.
Paul Shakeshaft, Salon Owner of Yazz Number One Hair Studio commented:
‘An amazing event, in which all of the team pulled together to make this event such a huge success. We smashed our original target of £200 and actually raised £360.
Our customers and members of the general public were amazing and we would like to thank them for their generosity.
Laura Haigh, Partnerships Executive Officer at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, added:
‘We know how much effort goes into organising events like this and we are just so honoured to be involved with such a prestigious salon. The funds Yazz Number One Hair Studio has raised will go towards Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s life-saving research and help us to stop breast cancer for good.’
As well as fund-raising in the salon, Yazz Number One Hair Studio has also been stocking this year’s limited edition ghd V pink coral styler from the bird of paradise collection to raise vital funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in the UK. Each styler carries a £10 donation to the research charity.
For 11 years, GHD salons have been supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer and in that time more than £7 million has been raised to support the charity’s cutting-edge research into discovering how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it more effectively.
