A Baildon based karate club is hoping for the ‘luck of the Irish’ as one of its teams prepares for a long-awaited championship in Dublin on June 17 and 18.
The Seishin-Ryu Shukokai Karate Club have been busy over recent months, getting its students ready for the WUKF World Karate Championships. For some of the club’s students, it’ll be their very first experience in such a major competition.
With support from their parents and fellow students, the club has also received sponsorship from Leeds-based Yazz Number One Hair Studio. Run by Paul Shakeshaft, the company has three salons – one in Rawdon, another in Guiseley and a third in Yeadon – as well as a training academy in Rawdon.
