Duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2 within a classroom environment.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills or GCSE Maths/English.
• Hold a Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
• Confidence to deliver classroom and workshop-based training to small groups of learners.
• Hold a Maths or English level 3 or equivalent.
• Demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train apprentices.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Duties and responsibilities
The ideal applicant will hold the necessary qualification(s) to assess candidates and be able to display good technical abilities of hairdressing, as well as innovation into how to deliver teaching and learning within the subject.
Also, we are looking for someone to take on a “fun” outlook and have a genuine passion for teaching and sharing. They would have a warm, friendly and kind personality and enjoy proving genuine support for our trainees and apprentices.
